NanoDrop Nd-1000 UV/Vis 1µl Spectrophotometer
|
| The NanoDrop® ND-1000 Spectrophotometer can be used to measure protein concentration via the BCA (Bicinchoninic Acid) Protein Assay. This assay is often used for more dilute protein solutions and/or for proteins in the presence of components that also have significant UV (280 nm) absorbance. The resulting Cu-BCA chelate formed in the presence of protein is measured at its at its wavelength maximum of 562 nm. The BCA Assay requires that a standard curve be generated before unknown proteins can be measured. | ||||||||||||
