MP-100 Microporator - pipette tip based electroporator

The Technology
Why does Microporation show such
fantastic transfection effiency?
Prior to Microporation, all electroporation
took place in cuvette style chambers.
Microporation is a unique electroporation
technology using a novel pipette tip
as an electroporation space. In doing so,
a uniform electric field is generated
accompanying minimal heat generation,
metal ion dissolution, pH variation and
oxide formation, which are harmful
events to the cell during conventional
electroporation process.
 |
Conventional Cuvette: Poor uniformity of electric field, Al3+ production, oxide formation, water dissociation and Hydrogen evolution, local pH changes and excess heat generation all combine to cause poor cell viability and low transfection efficiency |
 |
The Microporator Gold-Tp
The unique design of the Gold-Tip increases the Length / Depth ratio of the electroporation cell providing an optimal environment for cell transformation
- High transfection efficiency and cell survival rate
- Uniform electric field
- Excellent heat dissipation (10 µl)
- Low pH variation
- Low metal ion effect
- Integration of sample handling and electroporation - true aseptic transformations
- Small (10 µl) or large (100 µl) sample volume
- Easy handling and operation
- High throughput compatible
