Cyto Pulse offers an assortment of reusable in-vivo electrodes that attach to any PA-3000 or PA-4000 based system. All electrodes may be cleaned with a mild detergent and optionally sanitized with ethanol.

Two Row Needle Arrays |
| |
| Needle arrays are mainly intended for use in muscle tissue applications because of their ability to insert with minimal intrusion and avoidance of the highly resistive stratum corneum. They are the closest approximation of parallel plate electrodes, treating approximately 80% of the target area with 95% of the applied electric field, yet are immensely easier to operate. Within a row, needles are 0.3 mm in diameter and are separated by a distance of 1.5 mm. Needle tips are made of stainless steel and are available in 4 mm and 6 mm gaps. |

| These Cyto Pulse parallel row needle electrodes are based on "The Gehl Electrode" of which Cyto Pulse has secured a license. This electrode is described in Julie Gehl, Thyge H. Sorense, Kurt Nielsen, Povl Reskmark, Steen L Nielsen, Torben Skovsgaard, Lluis M Mir, "In vivo electroporation of skeletal muscle: threshold, efficacy and relation to electric field distribution," Biochemica et Biophysica Acta 1428 (1999) 233-240. |
Tweezers
Standard in-vivo tweezers are available in a round or square pad format, and are selected based upon the shape of tissue being treated: square pads are usually best for treating folds of skin or muscle while round pads are best for round tumor sites. Following injection of the transfectant, these adjustable gap electrodes are secured around the site of interest and electroporated for optimal delivery. |
