The C-Chip is a disposable plastic Hemocytometer used for manual cell counting. It consists of two surface-patterned, enclosed chambers with two ports for sample injection. The standard grid pattern for the C-Chip is the Neubauer improved (other grids available). It consists of 9 large squares, each measuring 1mm x 1mm giving a total counting area of 3mm x 3mm. The standard depth of the chamber is 0.1mm (other options available)
The C-Chip addresses the problems of conventional Hemocytometers by eliminating the need for coverslips by means of precisely 100µm high enclosed chambers. This both guarantees reproducibility and reliability but also protects the user from potentially infectious material whilst speeding up workflow |
