OverviewThe Bio-Stack™ Twister® II Microplate Handler is a high-capacity, plug-and-play bench top automation solution for integrating BioTek’s washers, readers and liquid handling systems together with expandable microplate capacity, ultimate flexibility and intuitive and powerful software. Whether you are adding capacity to single devices or linking several modules together to complete a robotic system, the result is an automated process for unattended, reliable operation.
The Bio-Stack Twister II is a cost effective alternative to linear track and stationary robotic arms and will be an investment in your laboratory’s future. As experimental designs change, additional instruments can be easily integrated with an easy-to-use software “teach wizard” and adaptable setup options. Within minutes, the wizard enables new microplate locations to be taught and ready to use with flawless accuracy, previously unheard of with competitive microplate handlers. The flexibility allowed by the system’s compact footprint and removable stacks enable capacity to be effortlessly expanded or reduced, so the system never takes up more valuable laboratory space than is absolutely necessary.
When used together with the ELx405™ Microplate Washer, µFill™ Microplate Dispenser, Precision™ Microplate Pipetting System or any of Bio-Tek’s robot compatible readers, all of the instruments can be integrated for complete assay automation. The rotational gripper, telescoping arm and 340° axis of rotation eliminate time-consuming alignment and make it possible to access all deck positions on the Precision™ pipetting system. In addition to microplates with and without lids, pipette tip boxes, deep well microplates and low profile microplates are also accommodated.
